Seasonal conditions: While the Sahara is largely uneffected by seasons (more so by day and night). Ther gobi is the exact opposite high altitudes and strong winds alow snow to come easily nin the winter here. Five examples of plants: 1. African Peyote Cactus The African peyote cactus is built with thick stems. The thickness of the stems helps the plant to hold back water for a considerable amount of time 2. Saxaul trees harbor a water reseave under their bark. 3. Saltworts are named for their ability to survire in the extremely salty atmospere that exists in one part of the Gobi desert. 4. Eragrostis 5. Date Palm Five examples of animals: 1. Dromedary camel Dromedaries are also noted for their thick eyelashes and small, hairy ears which they use to keep sand out of their bodies. 2. Sahara Desert Ant: Sahara desert ants can sustain a body temperature well above 50°C with surface temperatures of up to 70°C. 3.
